The Chargé d’Affaires of Malaysia, Mr Mohamed Ariff Mohamed Ali took part in a press panel interview in which he took the opportunity to highlight how Malaysia views climate change and the green transition from our perspective.
Malaysia is committed to combatting climate change and addressing the green transition via:-
i) National Energy Policy - NEP 2022-2040;
ii) New Industrial Master Plan - NIMP 2030 [ecosystem & industrial transformation]
iii) National Energy Transition Roadmap – NETR 2050 [transitioning to low carbon and achieving net zero greenhouse gases]
iv) Top 35 country globally on the 2023 Energy Transition Index - ETI
Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) Stockholm was also present at Vaasa Energy Week 2024 to actively look for investment opportunities between Malaysia-Finland
