The Malaysian Senators had the opportunity to visit a Finnish Daycare Center to learn about the Early childhood education and care (ECEC) in Finland, as well as have discussions on Education Diplomacy and bilateral relations with representatives of the Ulkoministeriö - utrikesministeriet - Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland over lunch, and get to know the Omnia Vocational College in Espoo.
There is scope for takeaways and exchanges from the Finnish ECEC curriculum such as concepts of play-based learning and teaching of cultural awareness and diversity. In the vocational sphere the principles of sustainability, innovation and greening of industries promoted at Omnia can also be applied in the Malaysian context.
