The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), the government agency leading Malaysia’s digital economy, has many development initiatives, where internationalising Finnish companies and startups could leverage from in the ASEAN region.
Mr. Mahadhir Aziz, CEO of MDEC and team were in town to participate in Slush and to learn about the Finnish startup landscape. The Embassy of Malaysia in Helsinki had the opportunity to discuss with MDEC about future possibilities of catalysing Finnish businesses to Malaysia and future opportunities with Slush and the startup scene. Current key areas include cyber security, the 5G network, and artificial intelligence, where there is much potential for synergies between the Malaysian and Finnish business landscapes. The Embassy will continue to support finding these synergies to enhance the bilateral relations between the two countries
