The Negeri Sembilan State Education Department visited Finland in September to learn about the Finnish education system, teacher training in Finland and the school learning environment. The delegation paid a courtesy call to H.E. Dato Blanche Olbery, Ambassador of Malaysia on 21 September 2015.
Education is one of the key areas of cooperation between Finland and Malaysia with potential for valuable exchanges in information and experiences. The Finnish education system has attracted a lot of interest internationally for its high quality and exceptional characteristics such as the highly educated and independent teachers, the informality of the schools, and lack of standardised exams.
Negeri Sembilan, one of Malaysia's thirteen states, lies on the western coast of Peninsular Malaysia, just south of the capital, Kuala Lumpur.
