Malaysia participated in a Roundtable event on Global Shipping and Geopolitics on the occasion of the visit of Mr. Arsenio Dominguez Secretary General of the IMO to Finland.
Discussions covered current topics in global shipping and maritime security. The event also gave an opportunity to connect with Finnish maritime industry professionals and to discuss cooperation in decarbonisation with the Secretary General. We look forward to further discussions with Malaysia's IMO team based in London.
Both Malaysia and Finland were elected as one of the 40 Council Member States of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for 2024-2025 last year.
