In addition to the PiBond visit, discussions with Business Finland centered on Malaysia’s National Semiconductor Strategy and the expanding semiconductor ecosystem. Finland’s advanced expertise and Malaysia’s burgeoning semiconductor industry present promising synergies, especially in the wake of the recent MoU between ARM and MIDA. These discussions highlighted how semiconductors and green investments can drive innovation and sustainable growth, further strengthening ties between Malaysia and Finland.
The focus on future technologies extended to electric mobility during a meeting with Virta Global, a leading player in EV charging technology. The session explored collaboration opportunities and innovations, such as Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), between Finnish EV companies and Malaysia’s expanding EV ecosystem. With robust government support, a skilled workforce, and a strategic location, Malaysia is well-positioned to attract leading Finnish EV companies and drive regional electrification efforts.
