On this UN Day, we offer our sincere gratitude to peacekeepers around the world working in conflict areas, helping to bring stability and peace to communities in need.
United Nations Day, on 24 October, marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter.
No other global organization gives hope to so many people for a better world and can deliver the future we want. Today, the urgency for all countries to come together, to fulfil the promise of the nations united, has rarely been greater. Malaysia urges for a concerted multilateral effort, led by the UN, to resolve today's pressing global concerns.
UN Day, celebrated every year, offers the opportunity to amplify our common agenda and reaffirm the purposes and principles of the UN Charter that have guided us for the past 77 years.
Malaysia and Finland have always been committed members & remain commited for generations to come together. One best example is both Malaysia and Finland are serving on the Human Rights Council for the term 2022-2024.
On a more domestic front, we would like to take this opportunity thank you also to the United Nations in Malaysia for its continued support in towards reaching our goals for a more sustainable future.
