The Yang di-Pertuan Agong's Birthday (Malaysian King) is celebrated with various events throughout Malaysia. The biggest and most lively celebration takes place at Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur. In this impressive place, a grand ceremony will be held in honor of His Majesty. This event is considered to be the most glorious Malaysian event of the year.
At the ceremony, various medals and ribbons were given to those who achieved outstanding achievements throughout the year. Malaysian citizens are usually recognised based on their heroism and good deeds. The ceremony among others is also attended by members of the royal family, Government representatives, and the diplomatic corps.
On the morning of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's Birthday, His Majesty will address the people of Malaysia from the throne room of his palace. During his speech, His Majesty will usually touch on various issues, including politics, the global crisis, and the challenges facing Malaysia. Although the topics raised are quite serious, His Majesty usually makes presentations that are of hope and confidence for the people. The Amanat Agong is broadcast live throughout Malaysia.
One of the most important events that take place during the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's Birthday is the Coloured Flag Parade in Kuala Lumpur. The Panji Warna Parade is a large-scale military parade held at Dataran Merdeka. The event is open to the public, but only honored citizens and members of the military are allowed to enter near the parade grounds.
During the event, personnel from the Malaysian Armed Forces will saluted His Majesty. Bands of soldiers, vehicles, aircraft, infantry, and all officers took part in this stately celebration. During the procession, His Majesty will be accompanied by the highest -ranking commanders in the Malaysian armed forces. After the Color Flag Parade ends, there will be a prayer recital for the health and wellbeing of the King and Queen as well as the general well being of Malaysia.
