HARI RAYA AIDIL FITRI CELEBRATION IN LONDON

Nearly 2,000 Malaysians and their friends attended the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri open house hosted by His Excellency Datuk Zakaria Sulong and Datin Hazizah Zakaria at Rumah Malaysia, the High Commissioner’s official resident, in Hampstead, North London, Friday 10 September 2010.

   Many had come from as far as Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, Cardiff and other cities with a visible contingent of Malaysians.

  A variety of Malaysian cuisine, including nasi minyak, beef rending, chicken curry and cookies were served,

  The colourful clothes and traditional dress added a vibrant colour to the joyous occasion. And the weather was kind too.

Earlier in the day more than 500 Malaysians attended Eid Prayer at the High Commission in Belgrave Square, London SW1.
