Award for RMN Commanding Officer at International Maritime Organisation Assembly
Captain Mohamad Adib Abdul Samad, RMN, Commanding Officer, KD Indera Sakti, was presented the ‘Certificate for Exceptional Services Rendered to Shipping and Mankind’ by International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Secretary-General Mr Efthimios E Mitropoulosat a special ceremony at IMO Headquarters, 23 November 2009, during the 26th session of the Organisation’s Assembly.
The Certificates were presented to the Commanding Officers, Officers, Petty Officers and Crews of navy ships that have participated in the international efforts to repress piracy. Certificates were presented to Commanding Officers (or their representatives) of ships from 23 countries including Malaysia.
