We invite applications for the position of Assistant Marketing Officer and Administrative Assistant in London, United Kingdom. This is a contract-based role with the option to renew annually, covering the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
·To establish and maintain connections with travel industry professionals, media representatives, and other relevant players to promote travel to Malaysia and generate positive publicity.
·To assist in planning, implementing, and coordinating Malaysia's tourism promotional activities, which include sales missions, media engagement, food and cultural promotion, travel exhibitions, seminars, fam trips, and more.
·To share information about Malaysia's tourism products and attractions with travel agents, tour operators, airlines, local and foreign media, clubs, associations, and others to increase awareness and generate more interest.
·To keep an eye on the latest market trends and developments in the local market of the Republic of Ireland.
·To help implement the organization's policies, strategies, and campaigns.
·To generate monthly reports and any other reports that headquarters may require.
·To assist, implement, and coordinate any Ad-Hoc project.
·To possess the necessary skills and expertise to effectively manage and supervise the social media channels for the London office and the Republic of Ireland.
·To perform any additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the Director and Deputy Director.
·Travel agents' staff training for presentation and conduct should be provided whenever necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants should possess a UK Residential Permit or a Working Visa with no restrictions to work full-time in the UK.
- It is preferred that the candidate possesses a degree in a related field. Those with an MBA may have an additional advantage.
- It is required to have a minimum of three years of working experience in a related industry, preferably in tourism.
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
- It is essential to have knowledge and skills in computer applications, especially in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop design.
- Pleasant, hardworking, responsible, self-motivated, and possess good interpersonal skills.
- Established valuable connections with government departments and the travel industry in both the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
- Willing to travel domestically and overseas.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:

·To provide administrative support across a range of Administration, Finance, and Tourism matters, including organizing, preparing, maintaining paperwork and procurement procedures, filing system, and any other related duties.
- To record, update, filling, and safekeeping of documents related to the office.
- To record and maintain office assets and inventory in the Office.
- To record attendance, leaves, and appraisal forms for TM staff.
- Responsible for the distribution of promotional materials.
- Responsible for managing the loan of traditional costumes and updating its inventory.
- To prepare refreshments for office meetings and ensure that the meeting room is ready for the meeting.
- To man the Reception Desk every other day and entertain walk-in customers, and respond to incoming telephone calls, messages, and emails from the public relating to tourist information requests and general enquiries.
- To relieve colleagues at their work station in all areas of work, including accounts, when needed (lunch break/ on leave/ sick leave).
- To help set up and to man the Tourism Malaysia stand at Exhibitions / Trade Shows.

- It is required to have a minimum of three years of working experience in a related industry, preferably in tourism.
- Good written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
- Good command of IT skills (MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Pleasant, hardworking, responsible, self-motivated, and possess good interpersonal skills.
