Launching of Rakan Muda

Minister of Youth & Sports Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek had a dialogue session with Malaysians and launched the Rakan Muda Secretariat UK at Malaysia Hall, London, 2 November 2009. More than 150 Malaysians attended.

 

   He said Malaysians in the UK should play a part in supporting Malaysian Olympians their bid for Olympic glory at the London 2012 Olympics. He also said that Sports Training Village at the University of Bath had been identified for the use of Malaysian athletes training for the 2012 Olympic Games.

 

   Shabery was  here as part of a five-day working visit to Britain, during which he attended the Nottingham Games and the UCI World Championships in Manchester, where Malaysian cyclists and athletes participated.
