The 2025 Merdeka Golf Tournament was held on 14 September at Witney Lakes Golf Resort, hosted by the High Commission and the Malaysia Amateurs Golf Association. H.E. Dato’ Zakri Jaafar welcomed Malaysians, friends of Malaysia, and members of the local community for the annual tournament. The occasion was marked with spirited competition and fellowship at the scenic course, celebrating the friendship and the unity of the Malaysian community abroad.
The competition concluded with remarkable performances across all divisions. Mr. Hilman Mahazir was crowned the Overall Champion, while Mr. Charlie Lim claimed top honours in Division A. Mr. Dzuhair Hanafiah emerged victorious in Division B, with Mr. Ashween Shaun securing the title in Division C. In the Guest Division, Mr. Afian Hamzah took the champion’s spot.
