MEETING WITH THE MINISTER OF HYDROCARBONS, REPUBLIC OF GUINEA
On 25 June 2018, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. was received by the Guinean Minister of Hydrocarbons Mr. Diakaria Koulibaly. He was accompanying Mr. Sukhwant Singh who is the Head of Business Development of Malaysia National Petroleum Company, PETRONAS. The meeting took place at the Ministry of Hydrocarbons at Minière, Conakry.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views about many issues of common interests including PETRONAS and the possibility for the company to come and invest in Guinea’s oil and gas sectors. Mr. Sukhwant informed the Minister that PETRONAS is willing to come to Guinea and explore its oil and gas potentials.
In response, the Minister informed that Guinea is looking forward to cooperate with PETRONAS and encouraged PETRONAS to seriously consider at investing in this country.
The meeting was very fruitful for both sides as it allowed them to exchange views on how they can possibly work together. The meeting ended with a group photo session.
