| This year Merdeka celebration in Conakry was held on 31st August 2008. The celebration was held at the Mariador Palace Hotel, Conakry at 6.30 p.m. About 250 guests including VIPs among others His Excellency Mr. Amadou Lamarana BAH, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Madam Tete Nabe, former Minister of Women Affairs, member of diplomatic corps and International Organisations, local, businessmen, government officials, friends of Malaysia and two Malaysian compatriots. |
