The Chargé d'Affaires a.i. received Elhadj Mohamed Diaby, President of Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) Alumni Association in Guinea. Both sides discussed matters in relation to the training programme that the MTCP secretariat could offer to the Guinean government servants in the future. They also discussed the possible activities that could be jointly carried out for the year 2023.
The MTCP was established in 1980 as Malaysia’s contribution to South-South Cooperation. It is conducted through the sharing of Malaysia’s development experiences and provision of training and technical advice in areas that are important for the development of developing countries. Since its inception in 1980, more than 34,000 participants from 144 countries have benefited from the various programmes offered under the MTCP.
