On 1st July 2025, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Malaysia hosted a Working Lunch with Heads of Mission with accredited countries at Riviera Royal Hotel, Conakry. The Working Lunch was hosted as part of the Embassy’s efforts in lobbying for support for Malaysia’s candidature for re-election to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council under Category C, for the term 2026-2027.
