On 30 April 2018, the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. received at the Chancery the Guinean Tilawah participants in Malaysia International Al-Quran Recital and Memorisation Competition. The Third Secretary also attended the meeting which took place in a cordial environment.
During the meeting, both Home Based Staff (HBS) took the opportunity to explain to the participants the dos and don’ts while in Malaysia. They also explained to them what to expect in Malaysia in terms of weather, food and time management.
The accompanying relatives of the two participants took the opportunity to ask some questions concerning the trip and the competition. The CDA a.i. answered as many questions as possible from them. One of the questions was to know if one of them could accompany the two participants given their young age. On this question, the CDA a.i told them that the participants will be well taken care of by a Liaison Officer (LO) once they arrive in Kuala Lumpur.
To the participants, the CDA a.i. explained to them how to proceed with the check-ins at both Conakry and Dubai International Airport. He also told them to enjoy their short stay in Malaysia and make full use of it to visit beautiful places in Kuala Lumpur.
At the end, the CDA a.i called on the participants to do their level best to represent positively the Republic of Guinea during the competition.
