The Malaysia Food Festival was successfully held on 14 Jun 2025 at Grand Hotel, Conakry where more than 70 invitees attended the event including the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Guinea, senior government officials, business community, 'Friends of Malaysia', MTCP Alumni, Malaysian diaspora in Guinea and friends from the media. Chargé d’ Affaires a.i., in his remarks enlightened the guest on the Unique Charm of Malaysian Food Culture and its identity and took the opportunity to brief the guest on the latest development on ASEAN-Malaysia 2025. Chargé d’ Affaires a.i., also in remarks touched on "Visit Malaysia 2026” where he highlighted important places to visit in Malaysia including UNESCO Heritage Sites.
Among the dishes that were served during the event includes Char Kway Teow, Nasi Lemak Malaysia, Rendang Kambing, Ayam Masak Bawang, Udang Masak Lemak, Ayam Goreng Berempah, Bendi Sambal, Kangkung Belacan, Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce and condiments, Kek Sarang Semut, Bingka Ubi, Roti John, Karipap (Curry Puff), Cornflakes Madu, Sirap Bandung, Teh Tarik and various other authentic dishes.
Datin Anetha led an engaging live cooking demonstration of Char Kway Teow, and our guests got to join in on the fun. Plus, we showcased the traditional technique of making Teh Tarik.
