MALAYSIA STRONGLY CONDEMNS THE STORMING OF AL-AQSA MOSQUE

Malaysia condemns in the strongest terms the latest storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by illegal Zionist Israeli settlers, including the raising of Zionist Israeli flag within the holy compound.

Any attempt at Judaisation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque is abhorrent and a desecration of this holy site. The recent action by the settlers, supported by the Zionist Israeli regime, is an attempt to change the reality on the ground, cultural and historical characteristics of the Holy Al Aqsa.

Such actions are provocative and unacceptable, disregarding the custodial role over Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem. The international community must not remain silent while hostility and aggression are taking place in plain sight.

Malaysia reiterates its calls for the international community and the United Nations to take immediate and concrete action to halt these violations and ensure full accountability of the Zionist Israeli regime.

Malaysia reiterates its unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people and reaffirms its longstanding support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
