TRAVEL ADVISORY FOR MALAYSIANS VISITING COUNTRIES AFFECTED BY EBOLA VIRAL DISEASE (EVD)
Malaysians travelling to the Democratic Republic of Congo are advised to strictly adhere to the guidelines stipulated by the Ministry of Health as follows:
- Be aware of the areas with outbreaks or high incidence of Ebola Viral Diseases (EVD), especially in North Kivu and Ituri province.
- Practice careful hygiene.
- Avoid all contact with blood and body fluids of infected people or animals.
- Persons who come into direct contact with body fluids of an infected person or animal are at risk. If you fall ill, please seek immediate treatment.
- If you stayed in the areas where Ebola cases have been recently reported, seek medical attention if you feel sick (fever, headache, achiness, sore throat, diarrhoea, vomiting, stomach pain, rash, or red eyes).
