TRAVEL ADVISORY TO RAKHINE STATE, MYANMAR

Following the ongoing violence in Rakhine State, Myanmar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to advise Malaysians to defer all non-essential travel to Rakhine State, Myanmar. Malaysians who are currently in Myanmar are advised to:

• Take all necessary precautions and be aware of the security situation at all times;
• Abide by the law, rules and regulations as imposed by the local authorities; and
• Register with the Embassy of Malaysia in Yangon to facilitate communication in possible emergency situations.
