6th International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) in Kuala Lumpur from 6 to 10 May 2009

Malaysia through its Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) will be hosting the 6th International Halal Showcase or simply known as MIHAS from 6 to 10 May 2009 taking place at the Matrade Exhibition and Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

The event is the largest annual gathering of Halal industry players and entrepreneurs in the effort to ease the sourcing and selling of global quality Halal consumables, products and services. It embraces the Halal concept in all its dimensions from pharmaceuticals and herbal products, cosmetics and health care to Islamic investment, banking and takaful.
MIHAS is the premier event that is not limited to the ASEAN region alone, but is also supported internationally by participation of international pavilions from countries across the globe. Last year, MIHAS 2008 hosted 507 exhibitors from 25 countries and attracted a total of 41,862 visitors from 69 countries out of which, 55 % of these visitors were trade buyers in the food and beverage industry. MIHAS serves as the best entry point for the world market to penetrate the global Muslim market or embark into the ASEAN market.
