Embassy of Malaysia in Zagreb, Croatia, celebrated Malaysia' 51st National Day on 15 September 2008 at the Westin Hotel Zagreb.
H.E. Ambassador Aminahtun Hj. Abdul Karim in her welcoming remarks she highlighted good political relations between Malaysia and Croatia, the sponsorship of Croatian officials to Malaysia through the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP), and good rapport with the Islamic community in Croatia. H.E. Ambassador Aminahtun also mentioned the increasing trade and economic ties between the two countries.
The National Day reception was enriched by the performance of Sri Bulan Dance Troupe from London which performed several Malaysian dances showcasing Malaysia's multi-racial and multi-cultural heritage.
The guests of the reception had an opportunity to taste genuine Malaysian dishes such as nasi goreng, murtabak, agar-agar santan, bubur kacang hijau, popiah goring and chicken curry.
