Charge d’affaires a.i. Mr Firdauz Othman received officials from the Croatia National Fire and Rescue Directorate, and Rijeka Fire Association at the Embassy on 13 March 2018. The meeting discussed on the upcoming 14th Firefighting Symposium in Opatija scheduled to be held on 19-20 April 2018 and the possible participation from Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia in the symposium.
Among other issues raised during the meeting were the organization of firefighting services in Croatia and its challenges as well as a proposal to hold a fire drill exercise in the Embassy’s premises.
