Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2008) will be held from 7-11 May 2008

With the theme "Bridging the Global Halal Market", MIHAS 2008 is set to exploit the potential as well as enhancing the scope of global Halal business networks. In addition, as the main trade fair for Halal consumer foods and beverages in the world, MIHAS will continue to be the platform whereby Halal trade and business opportunities are being realized. To date, 294 companies have confirmed their participation at MIHAS, representing a wide range of products and services such as :

Halal Food and Beverages - 221 of companies, 276 booth 
Halal Non Food Products - 17 companies, 17 booth 
Food Packaging, Machinery & - 2 companies, 4 booth 
Catering Equipment 
Islamic Capital Market & - 10 companies, 25 booth 
Financial Services         
Services - 5 companies, 11 booth 
International Participants - 39 companies, 50 booth

In addition to local participants, a total of 124 foreign exhibitors  have also confirmed their participation such as companies from  South Africa (8), Kazakhstan (8), Pakistan (8), Saudi Arabia (8), Thailand (6), Iran (24), Australia (16)Turkey (16), EU Countries (6), Indonesia (8) and China (16)

 

MATRADE is inviting all the potential buyers and importers from Croatia to participate in the Incoming Buying Mission (IBM) for MIHAS 2008. Products that could be source for this IBM will varied from food and non-food (not confined or limited only to halal products) such as :

*        food and beverage
*        pharmaceuticals and herbals products
*        cosmetics and healthcare
*        banking and finance; and
*        food processing and packaging machinery

 

For the IBM participant, MATRADE will offer the following:


1)        Accommodation for 5 days and 4 nights
       (MATRADE will only pay for 1 room per company inclusive breakfast for one person only)

        Important notices:        
(a) If a company send 2 representatives, sharing the same room, but needs extra breakfast, company has to pay the extra breakfast charges directly to the hotel during their check out.
(b) If a company sends more than 2 representatives and need an extra room, company has to pay to the hotel directly for the extra room during their check out.
        (c) MATRADE will not pay for the usage of phone local and international charges, room services, mini bar, laundry  and other related hotel services used by the buyers during their stay at the hotel. Any charges impose by the hotel                 for the usage of the services as mentioned above, buyers has to make the payment directly to the hotel when they check out.

2)        Local transportation
       
        Local transportation from Airport - Hotel - MECC - Hotel - Airport from 6-10 May 2008.
        (any private arrangement made outside this stipulated date will have to be borne by the respective company).

3)         Arrangement of the business meeting with Malaysia halal products manufacturers/ exporters.

4)         If any of the buyers have the interest to extend their stay in Kuala Lumpur, their accommodation and transportation will be at their own cost.
