Malaysia strongly condemns the latest threats against the Global Sumud Flotilla on 23 September 2025 and calls for such acts of intimidation to cease immediately. The safe and unhindered passage of the Flotilla participants and their vessels must be guaranteed in line with international law. The mission to deliver urgently needed humanitarian aid to Gaza is lawful and morally essential, especially in the face of ongoing genocide and starvation in the Palestinian Territory. Malaysia stands in solidarity with Palestine and reiterates its call for an immediate end to the genocide and the illegal blockade on Gaza.
The Ministry also confirms that all 34 Malaysians participating in the Flotilla are reported to be safe.
