Malaysia has expressed serious concern over measures seeking to block the participation of Palestinian representatives at the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York. Such actions run contrary to the Host Country Agreement, the UN Charter and relevant resolutions, undermining the principles of multilateral diplomacy and the inclusive participation of all UN Members and Observers. Malaysia calls for these measures to be revoked to ensure fair and constructive engagement at the UN. Malaysia reaffirms that Palestinians are guaranteed their inalienable right to self-determination under international law and numerous UN resolutions. This right, alongside their ability to seek justice under international mechanisms, must be fully respected.
