Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Ambassador Aminahtun Hj. Abdul Karim, presented her credentials to the President of the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Mr. Stjepan Mesic at 1200 hrs today, 23 January 2008 (Wednesday). The ceremony took place at the Presidential Palace in Pantovcak, Zagreb.

Malaysia and Croatia established its diplomatic relations in May 1992 and H.E. Ambassador Aminahtun Hj. Abdul Karim is the second Malaysian Ambassador to Croatia since the Embassy was upgraded to Ambassadorial level in April 2003.
H.E. Ambassador Aminahtun Hj. Abdul Karim was accompanied by her spouse, Mr. Shaharudin Abdul Ghani and the Second Secretary, Mrs. Rafedah Abd. Aziz at the event. Following the presentation of credentials, H.E. Ambassador Aminahtun Hj. Abdul Karim and her spouse had an audience with the Croatian President H.E. Mr. Stjepan Mesic and senior officials from the Office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
After the ceremonial event at the Presidential Palace, H.E. Ambassador Aminahtun Hj. Abdul Karim and spouse hosted a small reception at the Embassy with all the staff of the Embassy.
