Hari Raya 2010
1. On the auspicious occasion of Aidil-Fitri, HE Ambassador Dato’ Kamilan Maksom and Datin Zubaidah hosted an open house on the First Shawal of 1431 Hijrah at the Official Residence.
2. The cold weather of early autumn compounded by the heavy rain did not dampen the guests’ enthusiasm as they came in droves for the festive occasion. Approximately more than 180 guests from far and wide, including Malaysians residing in Hungary, friends from the Malaysian Embassies in neighboring countries in Central-Eastern Europe and their family members were at the joyous occasion. They were joined by the Hungarian local dignitaries, foreign diplomats, prominent businessmen and friends of Malaysia including the Malaysian Honorary Consul in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
3. The guests were feted with a generous spread of home-made Malaysian cuisine which included ketupat, satay with peanut sauce, rendang, johore lodeh, tomato rice, beef kuzi, roti jala, chicken curry, serunding, dhalca and Hari Raya cookies such as dodol, bahulu, wajik sirat, kek lapis, karipap, bingka labu, kueh angkoo, krepek ubi, agar-agar gula batu, pineapple tart, Aidilfitri biscuits and sweets.
