Promoting cultural diplomacy and educational linkages between Hungary and Malaysia will foster greater people-to-people relations. Towards this end, the Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Hungary’s oldest and largest university and in collaboration with the Embassy has embarked on a lecture series to build bridges between the university and universities in Malaysia. A lecturer from UKM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheng-Chwee Kuik had recently delivered a public talk on “ASEAN-China relations” at the ELTE campus. The turnout was encouraging with participation by students of International Relations and academicians from other local universities.
