Ambassador of Malaysia to Hungary, Dato' Kamilan Maksom, visited Kaposvar University on 31 May 2013. During the visit, he called on the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Ferenc Szavai. The Rector welcomed the visit and stated that the University would like to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University Putra Malaysia (UPM) on student exchange. The Ambassador noted that such arrangement could be beneficial in strengthening relations between Malaysia and Hungary, especially in higher education.
The Ambassador also toured the University to look at the facilities available including the Equestrian Academy and the Game and Farming Centre. The Rector also hosted the Ambassador and the Malaysian students to an early dinner at the Game and Farming Centre Restaurant. These students are attending additional classes at the University while doing their industrial training at the Rio Alto Farm.
