YB Datuk Amar Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Minister of Housing and Minister of Tourism of Sarawak and delegation was in Budapest for working visit Budapest from 2 – 4 November 2014. He was accompanied by three (3) Assistant Ministers and one (1) member of the State Assembly and 15 Senior Officials from the various state agencies.
YB Minister and delegation called on the Deputy Mayor of Budapest, H.E. Dr. Gabor Bagdy and later had a short briefing by the Municipality of the City of Budapest. Thereafter they tour the Varkert Bazar and Lanchid Park for a site visit. YB Minister also paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Béla Glattfelder, Minister of State for Economic Regulation of Hungary. The delegation was briefed on the state of the economy as well as on the housing and tourism development programme.In the afternoon, YB Minister visited the South-Pest Waste Water Treatment and later to the Organica Water Budapest Office for a short briefing.
The Ambassador hosted the delegation to dinner at his residence. In his speech, the visiting Minister appreciated the Embassy for facilitating the visit and acknowledged the visit was extremely fruitful.
