The Deputy President of Senate Parliament of Malaysia, YB Senator Datuk Doris S. Brodie led a delegation of five Senators and Senior Officials from the Parliament of Malaysia for a working visit to Budapest, Hungary from 14 – 17 June 2015.
In Budapest, the delegation met with the Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, Mr. Laszlo Kover and held discussion with Mr. Zsolt Nemeth, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr. Janos Latorcai hosted the delegation to lunch. Both sides agreed on the need for regular exchange of visits between the legislatures from both countries and welcomed the idea of establishing the Malaysia-Hungary Parliamentary Association.
