Certificate of Good Conduct

APPLICATION FOR LETTER OF GOOD CONDUCT

With effect from 1 January 2011, Malaysians or non-Malaysians (those who stayed in Malaysia for one year and beyond) who wish to apply for Letter/Certificate of Good Conduct must do so through an online application at :

http://www.kln.gov.my/web/guest/ekonsular

FOR MALAYSIAN APPLICANTS

1. Beside the online application, the applicants must come personally to the Consulate General of Malaysia and must bring along the following documents:

a) Two sets of the online application form to be printed;

b) Two recent passport sized photographs - Dimensions: 3.5cm X 5cm;

c) Two photocopies of passport (Details of bearer, front and back pages);

d) Two photocopies of Identification Card ;

e) Two sets of Statutory Declaration Form duly filled (obtainable at the Consulate General Office);

2. The letter of Good Conduct may be issued on the same day.

FOR NON-MALAYSIAN APPLICANTS

1. All applications will be referred to the Malaysian authorities in Malaysia and will normally take between two to three months for the approval to be given. The Letter of Good Conduct will only be issued by the Consulate General of Malaysia once the approval is obtained and the applicants will be notified the Letter of Good Conduct issued is to be collected personally by them.

2. The application must also be made online at http://www.kln.gov.my/web/guest/ekonsular. The applicants are also required to submit by hand, the following documents.

a) Two sets of the online application form to be printed;

b) Two recent passport sized photographs;

c) Two photocopies of passport (details of bearer, front and back pages and all visa stamp pages); and

d) An introduction letter from the applicant’s employer;

PAYMENT

1. Rs400.00 for application fee.
