On 26 October 2017, the Consul General attended an interaction meet organized by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas of India, at Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai. The conference which was graced by H.E Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas of India, aimed to attract foreign investments in the exploration and production of hydrocarbon in India. As highlighted by Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, as the 3rd largest consumer of energy, India plans to reduce dependence on imports of hydrocarbon which would in turn reduce the cost of energy by 10%.
