03 July 2018 1 views

As part of the outreach programme, the High Commission of Malaysia performed the Friday Prayer at the India Gate Mosque, New Delhi on 11 May 2018. Officially known as the Zabta Ganj Mosque, the mosque was built in 1740, but was left abandoned during the development of New Delhi as the capital of India. However, the mosque was revived in 1960, and has been a historical attraction for visitors to the nearby India Gate.

The High Commission also met with the Imam, Asad Khan Falahi together with the mosque Managing Committee and exchanged views of the wellbeing and development of the Muslim community in India.
