Malaysia participated as a Partner Country at the Invest Karnataka Global Investors Meet (GIM) 2025, held from 11-12 February in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The Malaysian delegation was led by H.E. Dato’ Muzafar Shah Mustafa, High Commissioner of Malaysia to India, and included senior officials from MITI New Delhi, MATRADE Chennai, and MIDA Mumbai. Notably, AirAsia Group and Roboxa Services Pte Ltd, an Indian company with a presence in Malaysia, were also part of the Malaysian business delegation.

As part of Malaysia’s participation, a country session was organised, featuring a panel discussion titled "Leveraging Opportunities between Malaysia and Karnataka for a Lasting Partnership." The session attracted industry leaders and potential investors interested in expanding trade and investment in Malaysia. Key discussions focused on Malaysia’s strategic location as a gateway to ASEAN, its business-friendly policies and attractive investment incentives, robust connectivity with India, and opportunities for collaboration in technology, manufacturing, infrastructure, and digital sectors. The session facilitated meaningful engagement, fostering new business connections.

Malaysia also hosted an exhibition booth at GIM 2025, serving as a platform to address business inquiries and promote trade, investment, and industry collaborations. Malaysia’s participation reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties with India, particularly through state-level cooperation with Karnataka, one of India’s key hubs for digital innovation, manufacturing, and economic growth.
