The High Commission of Malaysia organized the inaugural Malaysia Carnival on 9 December 2017. With a focus to promote everything Malaysia, a total of 21 booths were set up, comprising of stalls selling various Malaysian foods, crafts as well as promoting Malaysian services and tourism destinations. The event saw the cultural performance troupe from Istana Budaya performing a number of Malaysian traditional dances and folk songs. The Carnival drew a crowd of approximately 800 people from the general public, diplomatic corp and government officials.
