Step into a realm of Malaysian charm and hospitality experienced at the Malaysia Madani Carnival 2024, an enchanting event that graced the grounds of the High Commission of Malaysia in New Delhi on 27 April 2024.
Under the esteemed patronage of His Excellency Dato' Muzafar Shah Mustafa, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to India, this cultural extravaganza unfolded, welcoming over 2,000 attendees. From captivating cultural performances by the talented children of Home Based Staff to mesmerizing dances by students from Universiti Sains Malaysia studying in KLE University in the Indian state of Karnataka, each moment was a dignified celebration of Malaysia's rich heritage and cultural diversity.
Amidst the dignified atmosphere, families indulged in the flavours of Malaysia through delectable cuisine, marveled at cooking demonstrations, and explored the intricacies of batik canting. The sampling of tropical Malaysian fruits among others, starfruits, pomelos, pineapples, rock melons, including the King of Fruits itself - the durian - all flown in fresh from Malaysia, courtesy of the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), added a refined touch, captivating hearts and palates alike. Moreover, the festivities were enhanced with exciting raffle draws, offering prizes ranging from holiday destination packages in Malaysia to laptops, bicycles, and much more!
It was indeed a day filled with joy, cultural enrichment, and unforgettable experiences, embodying the essence of Malaysian warmth and hospitality.
