His Excellency (HE) Dato’ Hidayat Abdul Hamid, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to India undertook a Working Visit to Mumbai on 4 – 5 June 2017. During the trip to Mumbai, HE High Commissioner made a Courtesy Call on the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devandra Fadnavis. HE Dato’ had also met with the Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India to discuss the setting up of a Maybank branch in India.
Aside from the official engagements, HE High Comissioner had a roundtable discussion with the officers at the Consulate General of Malaysia in Mumbai. HE High Commissioner also took the opportunity to visit the Mumbai Monorail system developed by Malaysian company Scomi Engineering Sdn. Bhd.
