Engagement with Islamic Foundation of Ireland, 3 March 2026

Chargé d’Affaires a.i. met earlier today with the President of the Islamic Foundation of Ireland and Imam of the Dublin Mosque, Imam Yahya Mohamed Al-Hussein, to extend an invitation from the Government of Malaysia for the nomination of participants from Ireland to the online screening session of the 66th Malaysia International Al-Quran Recital Assembly, and to present 20 copies of the Quran with English translation provided by JAKIM. During the meeting, both parties also agreed to collaborate in promoting Islam as a religion of peace, as well as JAKIM’s halal certification.
