CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT / CGC

(No Criminal Record/ Police Clearance)

 

Pre-Condition for Foreigners:

 

Foreigners who wish to apply for CGC MUST have resided in Malaysia for AT LEAST TWELVE (12) CONSECUTIVE MONTHS under a long-term social visit pass (i.e. employment pass, student pass, spouse of Malaysian, expatriate pass).

                         

Application for a Certificate of Good Conduct (CGC) MUST be done online and the process will take approximately 1 to 2 months to complete. Please visit the website at: http://www.kln.gov.my/web/guest/online

 

Steps for CGC Application:              

i.          Log on to the E-Consular service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia website at: http://www.kln.gov.my/web/guest/online

ii.          Complete the online forms and click SUBMIT.

iii.         Print Application Acknowledgement Slip.

iv.        Check application status from time to time using the same ID and password

 

For a successful application (once the status in the online application shows ready for collection/ passed/ approved) the CGC could be collected at the nearest Malaysian Embassy/ High Commission/ Consulate General abroad.

 

Embassy of Malaysia in Tehran:

 

Collection for CGC could be done at Embassy of Malaysia in Tehran with an appointment. Kindly be advised to bring the following documents to the Embassy for the collection of CGC;

 

i.          CGC Acknowledgment slip;

ii.         Passport or a passport copy;

iii.        Payment of CGC fee (IRR200,000) (cash only);

iv.        For the representative collecting certificate please bring an authorization

letter from the applicant.

 

 

 

NOTARY SERVICES

 

WITNESSING STATUTORY DECLARATIONS, POWER OF ATTORNEY / AFFIDAVITS / AGREEMENTS / CONTRACTS / MEMORANDUMS / DOCUMENTS ORIGINATING FROM MALAYSIA PERTAINING TO PROPERTIES, INHERITANCES OR BUSINESSES FOR USE IN MALAYSIA

 

Powers are conferred upon Diplomatic and Consular Officers of the Embassy of Malaysia to administer oaths or affirmation, take any affidavit or perform any notarial act that any notary public can do within Malaysia.

 

Applications for any notary services must be made in person/ by a representative at the Consular Section of the Embassy of Malaysia in Tehran with an appointment from Sunday – Thursday / from 8:30 am – 12:00 noon (except for Public Holidays).

Processing Time: Under normal circumstances, documents submitted can be collected on the same day or at the latest the following working day.

 

  1. Witnessing Statutory Declarations

Application Requirements:

 

  1. Documents that need to be witnessed by the Consular Officer (must be in Bahasa Malaysia or English);
  2. Applications must be made at the Embassy in Person.
  3. Passport/ identity card;

 

  1. A fee of IRR 200.000 per signature (cash only)

 

  1. Attestation of the Documents / Authentication of Official Seals On Documents

The authentication given by the Embassy of Malaysia in Tehran does not in any way confirm the authenticity of the documents and/or the correctness of its contents. The authentication is only to legalize the usage of the documents in Islamic Republic of Iran or in Malaysia. The authenticity and accuracy of the contents of the document should be checked with the organization/ authority that issued the documents and should be legalized by the Consular Officer or Legalization Officer endorsements.

Application Requirements:

 

  1. Applications can be done at the Embassy in person or by a representative.
  2. Documents that need to be authenticated must be in Bahasa Malaysia or English.

 

  1. Documents must be first authenticated by the Consular Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia or Legalization Officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iran.

 

  1. A fee of IRR 200.000 per signature (cash only).
