As part of the community service to reach out to the Jordanian local community, Malaysian Students' Department in cooperation with PERWAKILAN in Amman made visit to White Bed Elderly Home on 18 June 2009. The visit was co-joined by approximately 40 students from four (4) zones in Jordan, namely Mu'tah, Amman, Mafraq and Irbid; and officials from Embassy of Malaysia and Malaysian Students? Department.
The guests of honour were Datin Jamilah Talib, spouse to H.E. Dato? Abdul Malek bin Abdul Aziz, Ambassador of Malaysia to Jordan and Mr Sulaiman Ismail, Director of Malaysian Students? Department.
Datin Jamilah Talib applauded the community service as a bridge to interact with the local community and to inculcate sense of filial piety in the younger generation.
The Embassy of Malaysia donated JD1200 (RM6000) to White Bed Elderly Homes.
