MALAYSIA AND JORDAN TO COOPERATE IN CAPACITY BUILDING

Malaysian Ambassador Dato' Abdul Malek bin Abdul Aziz paid a courtesy call on Jordanian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, H.E. Mrs. Suhair Al- Ali on May, 6. During the call, they exchanged views on means to enhance the existing good bilateral ties, particularly in human capital development programme under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP). Jordan has been one of the recipients of the MTCP since 1981. About 248 participants from Jordan had participated in various short courses under the MTCP. Malaysia will continue to welcome Jordan?s participation in the programme.

An MTCP Alumni in Jordan was established in 2008 and the first meeting of the committee members for 2009 with Malaysian Ambassador was held on May 7 to chart this year's activities.
