Malaysian Olympic team lost 3-0 to Syrian Olympic team in an Asia Zone Group C Olympic Qualifying macth at the King Abdullah Stadium in Amman on 14 March 2012. Despite strong support from Malaysian students and Embassy's staff during the match, the Malaysia team could not defeat the Syrian team.
But for the Malaysians in Jordan it was an exciting match to see our Malaysian football team in action in Amman. The Malaysian Olympic Football team and officials were later feted at a dinner hosted by the Embassy's staff and Perwakilan ladies.
