SPORTS CARNIVAL KARISMA 2009 IN JORDAN

Over 400 Malaysian students in Jordan converged in Mu'tah  University about 150 km from Amman for the Second Karisma 09 or Karnival Sukan Mahasiswa SeJordan on 1-2 May, 2009. Football, volleyball, table tennis, netball , badminton were held for various challenge trophies such as Piala Duta and Piala Perwakilan. Mu'tah University Dr.Abd. Rahim, Mr Jamalulail from Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, and Malaysian Ambassador were among the special guests who presented medals and trophies to the winners at the closing ceremony.  KARISMA 09 was jointly organized by the Embassy and Malaysian Students Associations in Jordan with the support of Mu'tah University. Malaysian Ambassador Dato' Abdul Malek bin Abdul bin Abdul Aziz in his closing remarks congratulated Malaysian students in Jordan for their relentless efforts to make the sports carnival a remarkable success. He also thanked the University including paramedics and security personnel for their support and hospitality. Congratulating Malaysian students in Jordan for the successful event, the University President Dr. Abd. Rahim, praised them for being socially active in the university.  The third KARISMA will be held in Mafraq in 2010.
