Head of Mission

 

H.E. Ambassador Mohd Adli bin Abdullah is a career diplomat.

 

He joined the Malaysian Civil Service in 2002 and was placed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) as Assistant Secretary in the Europe and Central Asia Division, Department of Bilateral Affairs until 2005. He subsequently joined the Organisation of the Islamic Conference Division (OIC), under the Department of Multilateral Affairs. In 2006, H.E. Ambassador Mohd Adli assumed the post of Second Secretary/Head of Chancery at the Embassy of Malaysia in Manila, the Republic of the Philippines. He was later promoted to First Secretary and Counsellor post.

 

In 2010, H.E. Ambassador Mohd Adli returned to Putrajaya and was assigned to the Multilateral Political Division, Department of Multilateral Affairs as Principal Assistant Secretary. After the successful completion of the Langkawi International Dialogue (LID) in 2011, he was assigned to the Administration and Security Division, under the Department of Management Services.

 

In 2014, he served as the Consul General of Malaysia to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Upon his return from Canada in 2018, he was appointed as the Undersecretary of the Consular Division, Department of Protocol and Consular Affairs. H.E. Ambassador Adli arrived in Astana on 1 February 2023 to assume duty as the new Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 

H.E. Ambassador Mohd Adli received his Letter of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to the Republic of Kazakhstan from His Majesty Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah, the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia on 2 December 2022.
