On 7 December 2023, H.E. Datuk Ambassador Eldeen Husaini Mohd Hashim attended the 2nd Maybank Regional Financial Education Excellence Awards 2023 hosted by Maybank Cambodia at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh. The event was also attended by Senior Minister in Charge of Special Mission, H.E. Dr. Sok Siphana, Chairman Maybank Group and Maybank Foundation, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa, and other Cambodian dignitaries. The program aims to promote financial literacy and education throughout ASEAN, particularly among the youth. The Regional Financial Education Excellence Awards (Regional FinEx) was introduced in Malaysia in 2022, and this year, it was Maybank Cambodia’s turn to celebrate and host the 2nd Regional FinEx. The event showcased nominees from Malaysia, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Vietnam in four main awards categories, namely Best School Award, Best Educator Award, Best Student Award, and Best Family Award. The Embassy congratulates Maybank Cambodia on the successful event and wishes Maybank continued success in enhancing its financial literacy program in Cambodia.
