30th ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF 2011) was held at the Diamond Island Convention and Exhibition Center, Phnom Penh, Kingdom of Cambodia from 15 to 21 January 2011 under the theme of "ASEAN - A World of Wonders and Diversity".
Malaysian delegation was represented by YB Dato’ Dr. James Dawos Mamit, Deputy Minister of Tourism Malaysia as the Head of Delegation, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Dr. Ong Hong Peng, Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia and Y.Bhg. Datuk Dr. Victor Wee, Chairman of the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, officials from the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia and Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board as well as participating companies from Malaysia. Over 1,600 delegates including 400 international buyers and 100 international media attended the ATF 2011.
ATF is a cooperative regional effort to promote ASEAN as one tourist destination. ATF 2011 marks the 30th anniversary of this event since its inauguration in Malaysia in 1981. This rotational annual event involves all the tourism industry sectors of the 10 member nations of ASEAN: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
